The Role
The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure.
The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.
The Water Network Logger KAM Support Officer will report directly to the Water Network Logger Technical Lead.
The Water Network Logger KAM Support Officer will work closely with the Integrated Operations Management teams and will be responsible for central management of proprietary Network Loggers systems which provide remote visibility of Uisce Éireann logger operating environments.
Network Logger systems manage network logger data (primarily flow & pressure) and are utilised by several Uisce Eireann teams including Leakage, IDD & Operations.
The Water Network Logger KAM Support Officer will implement processes to manage and utilise these systems to ensure the required level of service is maintained to field operations teams including Asset Planning Leakage, IDD & Operations Leakage Management to ensure greater commercial value is delivered. This role will look at Logger System availability, reactive maintenance & planned maintenance by System Integrators for the logger asset base.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with development of SLAs for System Integrator services and ensure that these are managed by the 3 rd party providers in a consistent and effective manner.
- Development of processes to manage 3 rd party providers workload on Network Logger systems in an effective and efficient manner.
- Manage workflow for Network Logger Team using ServiceNow & Maximo
- Undertake prioritisation of work of 3 rd party providers based on multiple demands from the Frontline Teams teams and defined business-critical parameters with key Business stakeholders to provide consistency and clarity in this approach.
- Analyse the replacement of loggers currently on Network Logger Systems by migrating to NTS as per IOM strategy.
- Work with IT/OT to manage logger data service into Uisce Eireann Enterprise systems (EDH, NMS)
- Manage Interface with Cyber Security teams on the development of Cyber requirements on 3 rd party systems and ensure that there is continuity in service on utilisation of systems
- Ensure alignment with NTS Operationalisation and that all processes are aligned with this new enterprise system going forward
- Provide status updates and KPI’s for management and Balanced Scorecard reports on progress with activities in this area.
- Define, promote and enforce strong governance including applications and compliance standards.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business.
- Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
- Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience (e.g. Engineering or Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field)
- Min 1 year experience relevant experience in a similar role in the water, utilities or similar industries would be an advantage but not essential
- Proactive, with ability to work on own initiative and with others to ensure success in the performance of a team
- Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused
- We work better together - proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner
