We are currently seeking a Operations Team Lead with responsibility for marketing to assist with the smooth and effective running of our credit union. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual to join our team.
Reports To: Head of Operations Role Summary The Operations Team Lead is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of member services and operational activities within South Dublin Credit Union.
The role involves supervising staff, monitoring workflows, providing guidance and support to team members, and helping to ensure that members receive a professional and efficient service.
The role also includes responsibility for coordinating marketing and member engagement activities, supporting business development initiatives and helping to promote the products, services and community profile of South Dublin Credit Union.
The Operations Team Lead works closely with the Head of Operations to maintain high operational standards, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and support the achievement of departmental objectives. This is a permanent full-time role working 34 hours per week.
Our current office hours are 8.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Principal Responsibilities Team Leadership and Support
Provide day-to-day supervision and support to members of the operations team.
Assist in organising staff workloads and priorities to ensure efficient service delivery.
Act as a first point of contact for operational queries and escalations.
Support the induction and training of new team members.
Promote a positive, professional and collaborative team environment.
Assist with monitoring attendance, scheduling and operational coverage requirements.
Member Service and Operations
Support the delivery of excellent member service across all member contact channels.
Assist staff with complex member enquiries and transactions when required.
Monitor operational processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and member experience.
Support the implementation of operational initiatives and process improvements.
Ensure member information is handled in accordance with data protection requirements.
Compliance and Controls
Ensure adherence to credit union policies, procedures and operational controls.
Assist with the completion of routine operational checks and reconciliations.
Escalate operational risks, issues or control weaknesses to the Head of Operations.
Support internal and external audit requests as required.
Maintain a sound understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
Marketing and Member Engagement
Support the delivery of the Credit Union's strategy and lead marketing, promotional and member engagement activities.
Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, website, email and branch-based channels.
Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide feedback on member engagement and campaign performance.
Identify opportunities to promote Credit Union products and services and support the achievement of business development objectives.
Assist in developing community relationships and coordinating sponsorship, school, community and member outreach activities.
Ensure marketing materials are accurate, compliant with regulatory requirements and consistent with the Credit Union's brand and values.
Support staff awareness of current marketing campaigns and promotional activities to ensure consistent member communications.
Contribute to the development of initiatives aimed at increasing membership and member engagement.
Administration and Reporting
Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
Assist with the preparation of routine operational reports and management information.
Monitor service standards and operational performance measures.
Support departmental projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head of Operations.
Other Responsibilities
Participate in staff training and professional development activities.
Attend team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality in relation to member and organisational information.
Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role as assigned by the Head of Operations.
Person Specification Essential Requirements
Previous experience working within financial services, credit unions, banking or a regulated environment.
Experience supervising or supporting a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Requirements
Credit Union experience.
APA, QFA or other relevant financial services qualification.
Experience of member services operations.
Experience supporting operational improvement initiatives.
Experience in marketing or providing support in delivering marketing activities.
