Full description

We require a Senior Drawing Office Technician/Engineer experienced in Solidworks design package to work designing large scale machinery. Successful candidates will design specialist equipment. Long term progression is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Ideally candidates should have knowledge/interest in Plant Vehicle or Agricultural Machinery.
  • Must be competent in use of Solidworks and PDM.
  • The ability to read interpret and assemble using technical drawings.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • The ability to multi-task on multiple projects.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ensure budgets, timescales and specifications of projects are agreed with Projects Manager.
  • Provide weekly update reports on project progression.
  • Provide assistance on any projects which you are asked to be part of.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with detail and excellent quality of work.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Working to tight deadlines and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering Degree or industry experience.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Solidworks Proficient in MS Office.
  • Clean driver licence.
  • Competitive Salary (DOE).
  • Potential candidates MUST have EU citizenship or have the required documentation to work in Ireland.
