Featuring 36 distinctive A-frame cabins, a relaxed dining and social space and outdoor wellness facilities, Rove brings together considered design, quality hospitality and a connection to the natural environment. Ahead of our opening in the coming months, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operation and contribute to the development of the Rove brand. THE ROLE Reporting to Group Management, the General Manager will have overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of Rove. The successful candidate will lead the property through its pre-opening phase, build a strong operational team and develop the standards, culture and guest experience that will define Rove as it enters the market. Key responsibilities include: Leading pre-opening planning and preparations while overseeing the successful launch of Rove. Recruiting, developing and leading a high-performing hospitality team. Managing all aspects of accommodation, food and beverage, wellness and wider property operations. Driving commercial performance, managing budgets and maintaining operational efficiency. Delivering consistently high standards of guest service and property presentation. Working closely with group management and marketing to develop guest experiences, establish local partnerships and support the continued growth of the Rove brand.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an accomplished hospitality professional with strong operational and commercial experience, excellent leadership skills and a genuine enthusiasm for developing a unique new hospitality destination like Rove.
The successful candidate will be personable, commercially astute and hands-on, with the ability to balance operational excellence with the individual character and guest experience of Rove.
Given the property's setting and identity, candidates with a personal appreciation for the outdoors, nature, sustainability, design or related interests are particularly encouraged to apply.
Ideally, you will have: Proven senior management experience within hotels, resorts, boutique accommodation or comparable hospitality products. Strong financial and commercial management skills, including budgeting, revenue management and operational planning.
Demonstrated experience building, leading and developing successful teams. A strong understanding of guest experience and premium hospitality standards. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The initiative and adaptability required to establish and develop a new hospitality operation.
Previous pre-opening experience or experience within independent, lifestyle or destination hospitality would be advantageous. THE OPPORTUNITY Joining Rove at its launch offers the opportunity to shape the culture, guest experience and ongoing development of a distinctive new hospitality brand.
