Job Description

This role will be working within a Food Testing laboratory to ensure the premises is kept in a clean and tidy manner.

This is a full time role working 39 hours per week - Monday 09:30-18:00 and Tuesday to Friday 10:45 - 19:00.

  • Responsible for the collection and disposal of general waste, recycling, cardboard and food waste from all designated laboratory areas in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring waste streams are segregated correctly and disposed of in compliance with quality, environmental and health and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the cleaning, washing, sanitising and storage of laboratory consumables, including glassware, containers and other reusable laboratory items.
  • Responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout all laboratory areas, ensuring workspaces, corridors, storage areas and communal areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting housekeeping, maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial cleaning is preferable.
  • Experience in a cleaning role.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good communications skills.
